Freedom Passes

From 1st June 2009, issued at Post Office branches for Wandsworth residents aged 60 or over.

What is a freedom pass

A freedom pass gives you free travel on buses, tube, trains, trams, and DLR services in London and free travel on local bus services anywhere in England. It is paid for by your council to help people aged 60 and over get around. A wallet size leaflet with more information is issued with the pass.

Who is eligible?

Men and women aged 60 and over whose sole or principal residence is in the borough of Wandsworth.

Where to apply and what to bring with you
 

You can apply for your freedom pass at any Post Office branch. Post Office branches in Wandsworth are listed below. Business hours vary therefore for further information telephone the Post Office helpline on 08457 22 33 44 or visit www.postoffice.co.uk

You must apply in person and bring with you proof of name, age, address in Wandsworth and one recent passport size photograph. Only certain items of proof are acceptable. These items are listed on the application form which can be obtained from any Post Office®branch, any Wandsworth library, the Town Hall - concourse on Wandsworth High Street, our website or by calling the Concessionary Travel helpline. Please ensure that you provide the correct proofs as listed on the form as failure to do so will result in your application being refused.

Lost or stolen freedom passes

You will need proof of your name, age, sole or principal residence in the borough of Wandsworth and one recent passport size photograph. See application form for details. For stolen passes you will also need a crime reference number from the police.

Renewals
 

The expiry date is shown on the pass. In mid January of the renewal year information on how to renew your pass will be available on our website, Wandsworth libraries, the Town Hall Concourse and BrightSide the magazine of Wandsworth Council.
