Translated by John Willett.

Frankfurt, 1935. As a fascist government takes control, a woman plans her escape.

This year’s JMK award-winner takes a fresh look at a work of personal tragedy and national travesty. A woman abandons her home, friends and family in an intimate moment played out across 1930s Germany. Immersing the audience in a landscape of domesticity and fear throughout the building, director Matthew Evans presents epic theatre on a small scale.

Please note that this performance takes place in various spaces and some walking in between will be required. Please call Box Office on 020 7223 2223 for more details.
